WASHINGTON — Today, US Representatives Raja Krishnamoorthi, Ranking Member of the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party and Rosa DeLauro, Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee released the following joint statement celebrating passage of additional funding and directed authorities for the Trade Fraud Prevention Task Force: 

WASHINGTON — Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi today announced that he has sent formal letters to three People’s Republic of China–based biotechnology companies demanding detailed information about their manufacturing, labeling, and export of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) drugs and associated active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) that may be entering the U.S. drug supply unlawfully and without appropriate safety oversight.

Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the Untied States and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Member Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) and Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI) led a bipartisan Select Committee roundtable with Indo-Pacific ambassadors about the economic and security challenges posed by the CCP.
