Ranking Member Ro Khanna Statement on Rep. Tom Suozzi Appointment to the Select Committee

WASHINGTON – Rep. Ro Khanna, Ranking Member of the House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party, issued the following statement on the appointment of Rep. Tom Suozzi to the Select Committee:

“I am pleased to welcome Congressman Tom Suozzi to the Select Committee. Throughout his time in Washington, he has remained committed to addressing challenges posed by the Chinese Communist Party, demonstrated by co-founding the Congressional Uyghur Caucus and serving on the Congressional-Executive Commission on the People’s Republic of China. His experience on the Ways and Means, Foreign Affairs, and Armed Services Committees has given him relevant expertise on national security, human rights, and U.S. strategic competition. We look forward to working with him as we advance the Committee’s mission to compete with China.”
