Ranking Member Ro Khanna Slams Trump’s National Defense Strategy as a “Gift to Xi Jinping”

Washington, DC — Ranking Member Ro Khanna released the following statement on the Pentagon’s 2026 National Defense Strategy:

“President Trump’s National Defense Strategy is a gift to Xi Jinping. Not a single mention of Taiwan or China’s increasingly aggressive efforts to dominate and control its neighbors. It leaves the world guessing which of America’s allies Trump is willing to sacrifice for yet another empty trade deal with Beijing. This is the art of the squeal, not the art of the deal,” said Ranking Member Ro Khanna.
