Ranking Member Khanna: President Trump Is Weaponizing the U.S.-China Relationship for Political Gain

WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), Ranking Member of the House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party, issued the following statement following President Trump's address Thursday evening and the public release of declassified intelligence related to China and the 2020 election:

“The president is creating a false and convenient narrative to advance his arguments about election security. He is using China to advance a political end, not to raise meaningful national security concerns. He is weaponizing the US-China relationship to undermine and control the elections.”
