Ranking Member Ro Khanna Applauds Ruling in Guan Heng Asylum Case

Washington, DC — Today, Ranking Member Ro Khanna released the following statement applauding the federal immigration judge’s decision granting asylum protections to Guan Heng:

"The asylum ruling for Guan Heng is a welcome and overdue affirmation of both American law and American conscience and makes clear what should never have been in doubt: that we must stand firmly against human rights violations. I will continue to press for transparency regarding how cases like Guan’s are handled. He should be released from custody immediately,” said Ranking Member Khanna.
