Raja Krishnamoorthi Reappointed As Ranking Member Of House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the U.S. and the CCP
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) was reappointed to serve as Ranking Member of the House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party, a committee established in the 118th Congress to investigate and shape policies addressing the United States' economic, technological, and security competition with the CCP.

Today, I am pleased to reappoint Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi as the Ranking Member of the House Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party. Through his previous work on the committee, Congressman Krishnamoorthi demonstrated a commitment to defending our national security, safeguarding our economy and finding bipartisan common ground whenever possible.

Background:
The House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party is tasked with evaluating the economic and national security threats posed by the Chinese government. Ranking Member Krishnamoorthi took on the role of Ranking Member during the 118th Congress, and as the committee moves into the 119th Congress, it will continue its work under Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI).
