Krishnamoorthi, Moolenaar Lead Select Committee Meeting with Indo-Pacific Ambassadors
Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the Untied States and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Member Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) and Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI) led a bipartisan Select Committee roundtable with Indo-Pacific ambassadors about the economic and security challenges posed by the CCP. The ambassadors attending the roundtable were Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez of the Philippines, Ambassador Shigeo Yamada of Japan, and Ambassador Kyung-wha Kang of South Korea.
“Thank you to the ambassadors for coming to meet with us and sharing their vital perspectives from on the ground. Their countries have all been the targets of aggression from China and have stood strong for their people and sovereignty. Strengthening these alliances is crucial and we will continue to work with them to secure a peaceful and prosperous future for all our people,” said Krishnamoorthi and Moolenaar.
