Select Committee Partners with Coalition for a Prosperous America to Hold Press Conference on Trade Crimes

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Ranking Member Krishnamoorthi, Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI), Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA), in partnership with the Coalition for a Prosperous America (CPA), held a press conference to highlight the growing threat of China’s unfair trade practices, including intellectual property theft, trade fraud, and the circumvention of U.S. tariffs. The press conference also featured an update on legislative efforts to address these challenges, with the upcoming reintroduction of critical bills and new steps forward, including efforts aimed at strengthening U.S. defenses against China’s economic coercion.

“I am honored to be part of this coalition and I am confident that we are going to get this done right,” said Ranking Member Krishnamoorthi. “Working together with the private sector, the public sector, human rights groups, and others means we're going to have a lot of wind at our backs and we have to take this to the finish line.”
